Chiropractic- A Treatment without Medicines

Do you suffer from back pain in every some days? Do you rely on pills or any other medicated procedures? There's an anti-pill procedure for you which can cure your back pain problems. It is known as chiropractic. It is a health care discipline which recuperates the spinal problems, especially back pain through hands-on sessions sans any medications or surgeries. Majority people opt for this treatment as a solution to back pain. A recent study reported that around 22 million people in America visit chiropractors annually. If you are seeking relief from sports injuries, muscle strains, headaches, or pain in legs, arms, neck, etc. then this treatment is one of the best remedies. Sometimes, doctors use this method in conjunction with medical procedures. American Chiropractic Association states, "Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling."

Chiropractic for Back Pain

A chiropractor commences the treatment by going through your medical history followed by medical examination. If required you may need to undergo lab tests and diagnostic imaging tests. The chiropractor may make one or more manual adjustments to lay an impact on joints through controlled and sudden force. Your treatment plan may also involve nutritional guidance along with exercise and rehabilitation activities.

What is Spinal Manipulation?

It is one of the most common forms of this procedure. It is also known as chiropractic adjustment. Its primary purpose is to restore mobility in joints by manually applying force to hypermobile bones or to the joints which have suffered an injury and become restricted in movement. Tissues may injure easily with activities like the lifting of a heavy object, poor spinal posture or repetitive stress. This procedure alleviates pain and tightens muscles to heal the injured tissues. This adjustment treatment does not cause much discomfort and is one of the best methods of curing illness.

Potential Causes of Lower Back Pain

Our spinal cord is made up of disks which are rubbery pads stacked between vertebrae. Doctors call it as invertebral disc, and it functions as a shock absorber, spacer and as a motion unit. When any section of spine dysfunctions, it causes lower back pain. Let's understand the problems which cause this pain:

·         Muscular Problems- It is observed as the most common cause of back pain. Muscle strain can occur due to lifting heavy weight, bending, or other intensive repetitive tasks which can put pressure on your back. Initially, muscular problems in the back tend to be painful; however, these heal gradually with time and light medications.

·         Degenerated Discs- Spinal discs are spongy pads (shock absorbers) sandwiched between vertebrae. When any of the vertebrates suffer damage, chronic pain develops.

·         Lumbar Disc Herniation- This problem occurs when the spine suffers a tear, and the fibrous ring of the damaged disc allows the softly stuffed portion to bulge out. It can happen due to injury, heavy lifting or due to aging problems.

·         Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction- This problem takes place at the joint connecting the bottom of lumbar spine and the top of the tailbone. Any dysfunction in this area can cause lower back or sciatica pain.

·         Spondylolisthesis- It causes severe chronic pain in the leg because one of the vertebrae has slipped forward and overlapped the below one suppressing the underlying nerve root.

·         Osteoarthritis- Also known as facet joint arthritis, it is one of the reasons for pain in lower back. When the cartilage covering the facet joints wears out and frayed due to aging or wear and tear, swelling in joints may develop. When the underlying nerves suffer pressure and limitation in range of motion due to the swelling, the condition is known as osteoarthritis.

·         Lumbar Stenosis- This condition develops when the spinal canal or nerve root canals start narrowing, thus squeezing the nerve endings. The reason spinal canal narrows is often because of bone spurs or joint swelling. It causes severe pain in legs and builds numbness. Even the patient may suffer difficulties in walking.

Hemorrhoid- Types, Symptoms, Causes, and Prevention

Hemorrhoid (piles) is a disease formed in anus region when blood vessels in the anus & lower rectum become dilated and form clumps. A patient with this condition suffers bleeding and may face great pain when feces pass through the anus. There are four types of piles which are differentiated by their origin organ:

Internal- Originating inside the rectum (the exit section of the last intestine terminating at anus), one does not necessarily feel these hemorrhoids. They aren't visible but can cause straining and irritation while passing stool which can damage its thin and swollen surface. In worst cases, the straining can push it through the anal opening. Ultimately, the surface can start bleeding with severe pain and irritation.

External- When piles emerge outside the anus, the disease is termed as external hemorrhoid. Its clumps can be commonly seen and felt, creating a lot of discomfort and pain. This type of piles come and goes on their own, however, in majority cases medications are required to eliminate inflammation.

Prolapsed- In this case, internal hemorrhoid extends and protrudes outside the body. Because these extend the anus, underlying nerves suffer great pressure which in turn proves to be extremely painful. These can be pushed back to the rectum with medications, however, until they move the discomfort is uttermost.

Thrombosed- This category of the disease is identified by prolapsed of external hemorrhoid which has formed a blood clot. Immediate attention is required to cure these types of piles. Otherwise, its intensification, unbearable pain and discomfort can affect you potentially. These are regarded as one of the ugliest forms of piles because they swell, turn blue or purple and burst (in worst cases).
